Goes fully into force in the Federal Republic of Germany. The Bundes tage, Germany's lower house of parliament, passes a legislative package introduced by Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Federal Minister of the Interior (in photo on right-our other photo conveys an idea of the extent of in dustrial air pollution in the Ruhr industrial belt). Passes unanimously , the Act seeks to control the spread of agents harmful to the environm ent. Included are air pollutants, noise, vibratory effects, and related ecological threats. Polluters from Kiel to Munich will have nothing to laugh at in the future.
