Running the Atlas: Unless you have the facility switched off the atl as should auto-boot on loading. Otherwise, to view the atlas locate an d open the index.htm file on the root of the CD-ROM and view it through your preferred internet browser. The atlas will work best on version 4+ browsers such as Microsoft Internet Exporer or Netscape Navigator. For PC & Mac ++Notes for Netscape 4.05+ users++ Due to limitations with certain versions of Netscape Communicator, you may need to run one of the following two patches: If the search applet loads but return s an ‘error accessing...’ message when a query is made, run the htm lsearch_prefs.exe in the Netscape_fix directory. This program will upda te preferences within Netscape, enabling it to access the required file s on the CD. If the search applet does not load at all, run the html search_winpath.exe in the Netscape_fix directory. This program will upd ate the winpath environment variable which will enable the applet to lo ad.
