The 2005 edition of the Statistical Yearbook for Latin America and t he Caribbean introduces a series of important modifi cations, both in c ontent and design, the objective being to refl ect the changes in the d emand of researchers who analyse the economic and social situation of t he region and to incorporate the technological advances that modify the modes of dissemination and use of statistical information.
