Microsoft Windows Users --------------------------------- To funct ion properly, your computer should support at least an 800 x 600 pixels screen resolution, 256 colors, 64 MB RAM, and operate on the Windows 9 8, 2000, NT, XP or ME operating system. Additionally, be sure your brow ser has "Show pictures" enabled. For Internet Explorer users, you will find the "Show pictures" option by selecting the following from your me nu: Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, Multimedia. If the "Show picture s" box is not checked, do so. This software is designed to run with Internet Explorer 5.0 or later and Netscape 7 or later. Instructions ------------------ 1. If your system does not support Autorun, click on Dermatopath.exe to begin. 2. To use the Search and Export featur e, install the Java Runtime Environment, version 1.4.2 (available in th e software folder). You should have administrator privileges for this i nstallation. After installation, start the application by clicking Derm atopath.exe. 3. Export feature a. PowerPoint Selected images can be exported and saved in Microsoft PowerPoint, if you have the full version of PowerPoint on your operating system. This feature is only a vailable in the Microsoft Windows operating system. b. HTML If y ou do not have PowerPoint, selected images can be saved as HTML directl y on your hard drive. These files will reside in the following director y: C: \M osby \R apini \H TMLshows \. Note: The Search and Export f eatures requires that the CD-ROM Server to run in the background. The S erver can be started manually by selecting server.exe in Windows, MServ er9 application in MacOS 9.x and MserverX.app in MacOS X. You can open the homepage by entering "http://127.0.0.1:1818/home.htm" in the addre ss bar while the Server is running in the background.
